Key Homes president, Doug Bain has been matching people with property in real  estate sales, since 1975.  Doug is the broker/owner of Royal LePage Key Realty having a sales team of over 60 people, an office staff of 5 and 2 personal assistants.  His son Andrew Bain and son in-law Adam Dumond have joined him in real estate sales.

Key Homes begain in 2007.  Key Homes is a registered Tarion Building company composed of local trades who take pride in their workmanship.  The collective combination of each team member's contribution creates one of Sarnia's finest new homes.  Key Homes is a member of the Sarnia Lambton Home Builders Association as well as the Ontario Home Builders Association and Canadian Home Builders Association.

In 2015, Doug's son John Bain opened Key Contracting and works as one of the many sub trades for Key Homes.

Key Homes Custom Division an arm of Key Homes that builds custom homes in both developing subdivisions and individual residential lots opened in 2015.  As of Feburary 2016, Key Homes Custom Division has completed three homes with one currently under constuction.

Doug married Janet Bain in 1979 and has raised four children, Jennifer, Michelle, Andrew and John.  Doug also has five grandchildren, Lyla, Jenevieve, Cohen, Clark and Beu.  

Doug's community involvement stems back to 1980 when first elected to Sarnia City Council.  Later, he was elected to city/county post that had him sit on both Sarnia City and Lambton County Councils.  In 1998, Doug ran for Mayor of Sarnia and came second to Mike Bradley.  Doug's community work includes terms on the St. Clair Conservation Authority, St. Clair Parkway Commission, Sarnia/Lambton Health Board, Police Commission, Sarnia/Lambton Children's Aid Society, Family Court and others.  

Currently, Doug is a member of the Sarnia/Lambton Chambe of Commerce, Vice President of the Sarnia Lambton Home Builder's Association, a member of the Tarion New Home Warranty Program and a member of the Sarnia Lambton Real Estate Board (a past president and dirctor).
