Whether you're buying a home, selling your home or relocating to this area, you will find lots of useful information on the following websites about these communitites and what they have to offer. I would also be happy to track down any information about other communities not listed for you!

Township of Norwich
The Township of Norwich abuts the City of Woodstock on the south end and runs south to Norfolk County. The township consists of many smaller Villages for those people searching for small town life. I can't say enough good things about this lifestyle when it comes to families. It can take a bit of getting used to if you are from the city. People know each other, help each other and truly care for where they live. A prime example of this is the way country people socialize. Instead of going out to fancy restaurants you might find yourself attending a 5 course meal put on by a service club, or a brunch or a fish fry. The service clubs actively put all of their money right back into local projects, families that are in need and schools. The schools in these towns are fabulous as well! Some of the things they accomplish would amaze you. I think that comes from having the teachers living in the same community and knowing the kids personally. We have very active sports associations too. The history in the township is very much something to dig into if you are so inclined. We have many local historians that are so knowledgeable. The Chamber of Commerce in the township is very strong, making it a great place to open or run a business. Not to mention the lower tax rates.  We also have a great deal of Artists situated throughout the township and heavy agriculture tourism with state of the art technologies being used by many farmers.

Woodstock, Ontario
Woodstock is a city of just under 38,000. What is amazing is that even though the city is quite a good size they have still been able to keep that rural feel. Although there are box stores along the 401 corridor there are still many privately owned quality shops and restaurants in this city, as well as three great farmers markets! Enjoy buying your food locally from area farmers in this strong agricultural basin. The city is also super green. Even I was amazed at that the first time I flew over in the RE/MAX hot air balloon. There are many walking trails and a great conservation area at www.pittockconservationarea.com. Also if you are into sports there are many up to date recreational facilities.  If you are a dog person there are two great dog parks at either end of the city. There are many schools throughout the city, allowing for kids to walk to school. Neighborhoods are friendly with people knowing each other.  We always joke that there is never a traffic jam in Woodstock. The city planners have done a great job laying out the city to allow many access points to the 401 and 403. It takes about 8 minutes from one side to the other.

With a population of 15,000 Tillsonburg offers pretty much everything you need without leaving town. Very vibrant downtown core with its famous wide street, also for great browsing through the many stores and restaurants that the town has to offer. When you head south out of town, it is just a short commute to the beaches. With an excess of main floor housing it is also a great place to retire. There are many activities in town for active seniors, great Doctors and hospital.

Norfolk County

Norfolk County consists of many smaller towns and a couple of larger centres. Agriculture, tourism and manufacturing are major employers in Norfolk County. Our farmers supply more fruits and vegetables to Canada’s dinner tables and restaurants than anywhere else in the country! Norfolk County’s most popular tourist attractions are the ports, towns and villages along Lake Erie, known as Ontario’s South Coast. Boasting some of the best beaches in Canada.  These towns include Port Dover, Turkey Point and Long Point. Fishing is another key attraction for tourists, as well as birding, hiking, camping and cycling.
